COVID measures at IHCON 2022
There is a lot new about the ways we conduct ourselves at scientific meetings, and naturally we anticipate that there will be a mixed picture about how COVID is being handled by everyone. Below are some guidelines.
The Granlibakken Conference Center asks everybody to remember to practice good hygiene and to frequently wash their hands or use hand sanitizer, which will be accessible everywhere on location. There is plenty of space to spread out (also during meals and posters in the Pavilion tent) and to spend time outside. We will try to keep open as many windows as possible.
While not mandatory, we strongly encourage people to wear a mask while indoors and attending presentations. You can take your mask off when asking a question.
We the ORGANIZERS encourage everybody to respect the concerns of other participants and to make courteous inquiries of those they are interacting with whenever faced with uncertainty over what they are comfortable with. If someone requests that you wear a mask during a poster-session interaction, for example, please respect their wishes. Likewise, if you prefer people to wear a mask while interacting with you, please let them know politely. We can smile with our eyes and find playful alternatives to hand shaking.
If you do not feel well, please isolate from other participants and take a self-test (Granlibakken has a supply of rapid test kits that IHCON will pay for and will provide to you for free). In the event that you test positive, you can still view the ePosters online and we will work out a solution to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Face masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be freely available. If there is anything else you need, or if there is any uncertainty, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

As of now, numbers are low and things are working smoothly and quietly. We hope to provide a safe environment for everybody at IHCON to minimize any spread of infection. Open communication will be the key to make this happen.
Transportation
The Granlibakken Conference Center is located about 50 miles from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO). Travel time is approximately one hour. Many of our attendees choose three alternate options. (1) Fly into RNO. (2) Fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) where airfares are less, but the drive time is 3.5 hours. Or, (3) you may fly into Sacramento International Airport (SMF) where the drive time is about 2 hours. For all of these renting a car is a good option.
* Please note that if you do not wish to rent a vehicle at an airport, transportation is available from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport using the North Lake Tahoe Express https://www.northlaketahoeexpress.com
