Accommodations and Meal Packages:
You may book your accommodations online with Granlibakken. For participants staying at a nearby hotel you still have to register for the Granlibakken off-grounds package (for meals, etc.).
There is no deposit required at the time of registration. Full payment is due on August 9, 2022. Cancellation is subject to $25 fee. However, if you cancel after July 9th, 2022, discounted room rates will not be available and you will need to pay the retail room rates. You may also make your reservations by calling (800) 543-3221.
One important change you will note is that attending IHCON will be approximately 50% more expensive than in the past. This is primarily because of high inflation of rates during the past 1-2 years and because in the previous years we got a great deal (it turns out that the managment was operating conference meetings at a loss).
Transportation is available from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport using the North Lake Tahoe Express https://www.northlaketahoeexpress.com Advance booking is required and coordinating with colleageus will make it cheaper. Granlibakeen no longer has the staff needed to provide transportation.
Conference Registration:
Starting this year, everyone wishing to attend IHCON must register for the meeting at ihcon.societyconference.com. Simply login to your account (or create one if you are new to the site), click on the REGISTRATION tile, and follow the prompts.
From now through July 1 the cost to register is $250. After July 1 the price increases to $350.
Registration is free for any presenting author who applied for a scholarship (non-presenting co-authors on scholarship submissions must pay the normal registration price). If this describes you, please select the “Scholarship” registration type and you will be prompted to supply the title of your scholarship submission and upload a copy of your letter of support to confirm your status.
Childcare Services:
Participants may also request childcare services by calling (800) 543-3221. These services can be provided at Granlibakken throughout the day and evening for individual children and for small groups of children, including times when sessions are scheduled. Childcare services can also be provided at offsite locations for participants who stay offsite.
